In simpler words, svchost.exe is a system file that enables Windows to launch other programs. Svchost.exe Virus I always saw svchost.exe and knew it was related to DLLs but never knew about Windows' "Go to Service(s)" feature. I too was curious about the multiple instances running when my AutoCAD application stopped running.
